Ready® Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy
Effective Immediately
Ready® is a premium product offering and has spent years building a brand of strong recognition and high value to consumers and retailers. This Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) has been established by Ready® to ensure our products are advertised and sold fairly across all platforms by approved distributors and retailers.
This policy is designed to protect the reputation and value of Ready®’s core products—Protein Bars, Protein Water Beverages, and Protein Puffs. Adhering to the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) helps maintain the brand’s perceived quality and supports fair competition in the marketplace.
Unauthorized discounting, especially online, can harm the brand and disrupt legitimate retail efforts. To combat this, Ready® enforces its MAP to preserve its strong market position and appreciates the cooperation of resellers in upholding these standards.
Compliance Guidelines
1. Minimum Advertised Price Requirements.
Distributors, resellers, and retailers should follow the MAP Policy set by Ready®. This includes, but is not limited to, advertisements in print, digital platforms, websites, social media, and any other public-facing promotions.
2. Effective Advertising Compliance.
Advertised promotions, discounts, rebates, or any other marketing incentives must have prior approval from the company to initiate.
3. Scope of Applicability.
This policy applies to any advertisement of covered products in all markets, whether online or offline. However, it does not restrict the actual selling price, as retailers are free to determine their own resale price for every transaction.
4. Exceptions
Special promotions (e.g., closeouts) may be allowed but must first receive written approval from Ready® prior to the advertisement being publicized.
Unilateral Policy
You are free to decide whether to follow this policy. This policy does not constitute an agreement between you and Ready®, and Ready® is not seeking a response from you.
Although you remain free to resell Ready® products at the price of your choosing, as of the effective date of this letter, Ready® will potentially take legal action if required.
Minimum Advertised Price
Effective immediately, the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) for Ready® products is as established in Schedule 1, is updated from time-to-time. Ready® may at any time modify, suspend, or discontinue this policy in whole or in part or specify certain periods during which the policy is inapplicable. This MAP is applicable to all forms of media as well as all visible and openly advertising, but not to any in-store advertising not generally distributed or openly advertised to customers outside of any in-store retail location. This Policy also applies to promotions and discounts regarding the products. This policy also does not apply to general check-out discounts.
In-Cart Pricing Exception:
The Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) applies until the point a product is added to a customer’s online shopping cart. Once in the cart, MAP restrictions no longer apply. MAP prices cannot be shown outside the cart (e.g., in search results, product pages, emails, banners).
This exception is allowed to facilitate a positive customer experience while still upholding the integrity of the Ready® brand and maintaining fair market competition. All other forms of public price display must comply strictly with the MAP guidelines.
This MAP Policy applies equally to all retailers and resellers. This Policy is confidential. Ready® will actively monitor the marketplace to ensure compliance with its Policy. This includes regular reviews of online platforms, store advertisements, and retail promotions. If you fail to follow the MAP Policy, we reserve the right to take legal action.
